PDF Application Example – One File

You want to download PDF application data, with all applicants’ applications in one large PDF file called “CFNC Applications” with the download date and time. You want the zip folder to be called the same thing. You want the file created to save the most space to limit the document length and you only want to download applications received after 01/01/2018:

  1. Click on Applicants | Export Settings
  2. Click the “+ New” button
  3. Select “PDF File” from the Export Type dropdown menu
  4. Enter a Name for the export setting of “CFNC PDF Applications”
  5. Enter a File Name of “CFNC Applications”
  6. Enter a Single File Name of “CFNC Applications {MM-dd-yyyy hh_mm_ss}”
  7. Select the Option of “Field Labels and Values Render On a Single Line”
  8. Click the Fields tab
  9. Expand sections using the “” icon to a find the fields you want to include
  10. Click the checkbox next to the fields you want to include
  11. Click the “Add Fields” button to move selected fields into your export setting
  12. Click the Layout tab
  13. Select “Four Column” from the Layout Type dropdown menu
  14. Click Save
  15. Click on Applicants | Export Projects
  16. Click on the “+ New” button
  17. Enter a Name for the export project of “CFNC PDF Applications”
  18. Leave the Rule field blank
  19. Enter a File Name of “CFNC Applications { MM-dd-yyyy hh_mm_ss }
  20. Enter a Folder Name of “CFNC Applications”
  21. Enter a number for your Maximum Applications to Download
  22. Enter 01/01/2018 for the New Application Cutoff Date field
  23. Select the Option of Combine Export Setting Into One File
  24. Click the “+ Add Settings” button
  25. Click the “+” next to your export setting of “CFNC PDF Applications”
  26. Click Save in Add Export Setting window
  27. Click Save
  28. Click on Applicants | Export Projects
  29. Click on the Export () icon
  30. Click the Export button

 

 

PDF Application Example – Individual Files

You want to download PDF application data, with all applicants’ applications in individual PDF files called “CFNC Applications” with the applicants first and last name. You want the individual application folders called the same thing and the zip folder called “CFNC Applications” with the date and time. You want the file created to save the most space to limit the document length and you only want to download applications received after 01/01/2016:

  1. Click on Applicants | Export Settings
  2. Click the “+ New” button
  3. Select “PDF File” from the Export Type dropdown menu
  4. Enter a Name for the export setting of “CFNC PDF Applications”
  5. Enter a File Name of “CFNC Applications [[StudentNameFirst]] [[StudentNameLast]]”
    1. *put your specific application first and last name field keys in the double brackets
  1. Enter a Single File Name of “CFNC Applications”
  2. Select the Option of “Field Labels and Values Render On a Single Line”
  3. Click the Fields tab
  4. Expand sections using the “ ” icon to a find the fields you want to include
  5. Click the checkbox next to the fields you want to include
  6. Click the “Add Fields à” button to move selected fields into your export setting
  7. Click the Layout tab
  8. Select “Four Column” from the Layout Type dropdown menu
  9. Click Save
  10. Click on Applicants | Export Projects
  11. Click on the “+ New” button
  12. Enter a Name for the export project of “CFNC PDF Applications”
  13. Leave the Rule field blank
  14. Enter a File Name of “CFNC Applications { MM-dd-yyyy hh_mm_ss }
  15. Enter a Folder Name of “CFNC Applications [[StudentNameFirst]] [[StudentNameLast]]” 
    1. *put your specific application first and last name field keys in the double brackets
  1. Enter a number for your Maximum Applications to Download
  2. Enter 01/01/2016 for the New Application Cutoff Date field
  3. Click the “+ Add Settings” button
  4. Click the “+” next to your export setting of “CFNC PDF Applications”
  5. Click Save in Add Export Setting window
  6. Click Save
  7. Click on Applicants | Export Projects
  8. Click on the Export ( ) icon
  9. Click the Export button

 

Flat File Application Example – One .xls File

You want to download application data, with all applicants’ applications in one tab delimited .xls (Excel) file called “CFNC Applications” with the download date and time. You want the zip folder to be called the same thing. You want headers in the exported file. You only want to download applications received after 01/01/2018:

  1. Click on Applicants | Export Settings
  2. Click the “+ New” button
  3. Select “Flat File” from the Export Type dropdown menu
  4. Enter a Name for the export setting of “CFNC Applications”
  5. Enter a File Name of “CFNC Applications”
  6. Enter a Single File Name of “CFNC Applications {MM-dd-yyyy hh_mm_ss}”
  7. Leave the Separator field blank
  8. Select all three of choices under Option (“Use Tab Separator” , “Wrap Values in Quotes” and “Include Header Row”)
  9. Click the Fields tab
  10. Expand sections using the “” icon to a find the fields you want to include
  11. Click the checkbox next to the fields you want to include
  12. Click the “Add Fields” button to move selected fields into your export setting
  13. Click Save
  14. Click on Applicants | Export Projects
  15. Click on the “+ New” button
  16. Enter a Name for the export project of “CFNC Applications”
  17. Leave the Rule field blank
  18. Enter a File Name of “CFNC Applications { MM-dd-yyyy hh_mm_ss }
  19. Enter a Folder Name of “CFNC Applications“
  20. Enter a number for your Maximum Applications to Download
  21. Enter 01/01/2018 for the New Application Cutoff Date field
  22. Select the Option of Combine Export Setting Into One File
  23. Click the “+ Add Settings” button
  24. Click the “+” next to your export setting of “CFNC Applications”
  25. Click Save in Add Export Setting window
  26. Click Save
  27. Click on Applicants | Export Projects
  28. Click on the Export () icon
  29. Click the Export button
