  5. Events Calendar
  6. Recent Export Files

Each area of the Dashboard is described in detail within this document.

A. Weekly Application Stats

Weekly Application Stats allows you to see the total number of started and submitted applications, received transcripts, and application fees for a given week.

Note: Started application numbers are applicants that have started your application. This number will only go up as the week progresses. This number is not a count those applicants who have not yet submitted an application. If you want to look at applications that have been started but not submitted (in-progress applications), go to: Reports | Applications | Click here to choose a report | In-Progress Applications.

Facts about the week you select:

  • Defaults to the current week when you first login or navigate back to the Dashboard
  • Covers a calendar week (Sunday – Saturday)
  • Determines the data displayed in the weekly numbers for applications, transcripts and fees, as well as the data shown in the application graph, and the customizable pie chart

Changing the Week

  1. Click the Change Week button () to see a dropdown list of available weeks to select from. These options change, based on the current week selected.
  2. Select the desired week

Note: From your currently selected week, three weeks in the past and two weeks in the future are always shown in the dropdown.

B. Applications Graph

The Applications Graph shows a daily breakdown of started and submitted applications for the week you selected in Weekly Application Stats area. The started applications are shown in orange and submitted applications are shown in blue; both corresponding with the total number shown above in the week’s numbers.

Hover your mouse over any orange or blue data point to get the specific number of applications indicated by the data point.

Click the Menu button () in the upper right corner of the Applications Graph area to print or download the image.

C. Customizable Pie Chart

Within the dashboard, a single question from the application can be displayed as a pie chart. This field can be any active question from your application you want and can be changed by you from your CrossConnect account.

Note: The application field shown is set by application, not user, so if you change the display field this will change it for all other users with access to your application.

Modifying the Pie Chart

  1. Navigate to Application | Edit Application | Settings
  2. Click the third field, Field to Display on Dashboard, to display the dropdown list of your application fields
  3. You can either scroll through the dropdown list or type part of the field key to use smart search to find and select the field you want to appear on the dashboard Note: Fields are listed in the order they appear on your application

Make sure to select a field that can easily be displayed in chart form. Required application fields and those with a finite number of answers (i.e. enrollment terms, entrance statuses, etc.) work best. Optional fields will only provide data on those that answered the question, so they are not the optimal field to select for the dashboard chart. Additionally, fields with a text box answer that the applicant enters (i.e. first name, street address, etc.) do not typically translate well into chart form.

  1. Click the Save () button

When you return to the dashboard, your new application field appears as the pie chart. It will show answers for your selected field, for submitted applications, for the week you selected in the Weekly Application Stats area. If you have no applications submitted for the week selected, the pie chart will not populate.

Click the Menu icon () in the upper right of the pie chart to print or download the image.

D. Recent Applications and Transcripts

Recent Applicants and Recent Transcripts areas display the ten most recently received applications and transcripts.

Recent Applicants shows the following basic information about each applicant:

  • Applicant’s first name
  • Applicant’s last name
  • Date and time the application was submitted

If an applicant submits an application for two different terms in succession, you will see their name twice (once for each term’s application). This area is intended to serve as a quick reference or snapshot of the applicant. For more detailed applicant information, go to Applicants | Submitted Applications or Reports | Applications | Click here to choose a report | Submitted Applications.

Recent Transcripts shows the following basic information about each received transcript:

  • Applicant’s first name
  • Applicant’s last name
  • Date and time the transcript was received

This area is also intended to serve as a quick reference. For more detailed transcript information, go to Reports | Transcripts | Click here to choose a report | Transcript Submissions.

E. Events Calendar

The Events area displays a calendar of events for your application. This calendar is managed in the Calendar area of CrossConnect (Application | Calendar). This calendar is shared externally with those outside of your organization. Events on your calendar can populate to prospective students’ CFNC Schedule of Events. Additionally, and the full calendar appears to those that click the calendar icon on your CFNC Campus Profile. For more information about managing your calendar, refer to the CrossConnect Calendar page of the Help Center.

F. Recent Export Files

If you have downloaded any export projects (applications, transcripts, or prospects) from CrossConnect within the past 24 hours you will see a link inside that box. If you click on that link it will allow you re-download a file that was previously generated by CrossConnect. This way, if you had to step away from your computer after initiating a download you will not have to try and figure out exactly which records were impacted. Instead you can just navigate to the Dashboard and download that file again with a single click.
