Community Colleges (Troubleshooting Tips)

Overview

If you discover that your CrossRoute is not the latest version (how can I tell?), please follow these steps to to upgrade CrossRoute.

Community Colleges

***Do not update CrossRoute unless explicity authorized by CFNC (cfnc-campus@cfnc.northcarolina.edu). If this is during a Go Live period, you must WAIT to update CrossRoute until you have explicitly been emailed by CFNC per Step #2. If you do not wait, you may cause errors to your Colleague export.***

Troubleshooting Tips

Note: Perform the following if an error displays and you cannot save the settings:

  1. Navigate to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\MachineKeys.
  2. Update the permissions on the machine key(s) so that your user account has read and write access to the files. The keys are named with GUIDs that are unique to each machine. If there are multiple machine keys, we are unable to determine which one is for CrossRoute.
  • When prompted to Start Service, click "Yes".
  • Click "Exit" to close CrossRoute Service Manager.
